Although we’ve only known each other for three months, it feels like I’ve known you forever. I cannot wait to celebrate many more birthdays and occasions together. You’ve changed everything I have ever thought about love and pushed me to be my best self every single day. Your passion, kindness, and excitement for life is contagious — the gratitude I have for getting to live life with you in my corner is more than you know.

August 13th has never felt so important. The way you celebrate others should be reciprocated and then some — because you truly are one-of-a-kind. Today is the day we get to honor your sacrifices, selflessness, and accomplishments this past year — and for the first time, you get to celebrate yourself legally. I am so lucky to be front row to your life and love you daily.
